A Brooklyn Technical High School teacher has been arrested following allegations that he sent a picture containing full-frontal nudity to one of his students.
Sean Shaynak, 44, was arrested this morning following an investigation stemming from the explicit photograph, which was sent to a 16-year-old girl. The teacher faces up to seven years in prison for the charge of disseminating indecent material to a minor.
"I want to poke my eyes out," someone who had seen the photograph told the Daily News.
Shaynak, who has been teaching math and physics for five years at the elite Fort Greene (Dante de Blasio goes there), allegedly smoked weed and cigarettes with his female student before he allegedly sent her the picture on June 27th.
According to court documents, Shaynak told police officers during his arrest, "“Fuck you, I’m not going anywhere.” He was taken to the Brooklyn Supreme Court where his bail was set at $25,000 in cash or $100,000 in bond. The judge also forbade him from contacting the teen, including contact via Facebook and Snapchat.
