This year's Movies With A View series kicked off on July 8th with a screening of Annie Hall, and after last Thursday's screening of Monsters vs. Aliens, Brooklyn Heights residents had enough of the ongoing summer event.

According to the Brooklyn Paper, locals preferred the old site in DUMBO (pictured) over the new one on Pier 1. Community Board 2 member Rob Perris told the paper, “There were swift and numerous complaints after this first event. I think what we have to find out is how the sound travels, and how it is best contained.”

Allegedly Park officials have written a letter warning that there would be more amplified events in the park this summer, but did note that they'll "fine-tune the presentation.” One possible solution is turning the speakers toward the East River, but how about bringing in some old drive-in movie technology? Or maybe just bring back the helicopters to distract the locals with.
