A Brooklyn man who fell off a party boat early this morning survived the fall but went into cardiac arrest after being pulled back on to the boat, police say.

An NYPD spokesman said that at about 1:35 a.m. on Saturday, the 30-year-old man fell off the edge of the Jewel, a party boat sailing near Governors Island. The crew was able to get the man back on the boat, where he went into cardiac arrest. Crewmembers gave the man CPR as the boat moved to Pier 11. He was transferred to EMS who took him to New York-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, who had him listed in critical condition.

Police said no criminality was suspected. This is the second person to go overboard on a party boat in the last two weeks.
