A 22-year-old Brooklyn man was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting early Monday morning.

First responders found Elijah Benjamin unconscious and unresponsive on the corner of Avenue I and East 34th Street in Flatlands, only a few yards from his home, shortly after 1 a.m. today. Benjamin had been shot in the chest, according to police. EMS workers rushed Benjamin to Kings County Hospital, but he could not be saved.

Sources told the Daily News that a shooter inside a red vehicle opened fire on Benjamin. No arrests have been made and police currently have no description of the subject.
