The NYPD has arrested a man they believe has robbed a number of homes in Bed-Stuy this month—and grabbed sleeping victims' necks while they slept.
Bronx resident Jeffery Robinson, 39, was arrested yesterday. Authorities say he burglarized four homes in Bed-Stuy between May 6th and May 24th, taking electronic property, cash, and a debit card; he also allegedly tried to steal a purse.
All four burglary victims were women in their 20s, and three were asleep during the robberies. Robinson is also accused of grabbing at least two of the women's necks during the burglaries, though no one was physically injured.
"The robber climbed on top of her and had his hand around her throat. He said something and she couldn't really understand him," Lauren Ifill, one of the victim's roommates, told ABC 7.
Robinson has been charged with burglary, in addition to criminal possession of stolen property, criminal mischief, possession of burglar's tools, and assault.
