A 47-year-old Brooklyn assistant principal has been accused of making inappropriate sexual comments to at least three teenage girls, including one whom he allegedly propositioned in exchange for a summer job. The Department of Education’s Special Commissioner of Investigation say that all three girls applied for summer jobs working at school with Progress HS for Professional Careers assistant principal William Abreu: “Would you suck my balls for me? That’s the things [sic] you have to do to succeed,” he allegedly told one of the girls. “You have to come to work looking sexy, so I can see how pretty you are.”
The report by the Special Commissioner of Investigation says Abreu asked a second girl whether she performed oral sex on her boyfriend, suggesting she could stay a virgin by having only anal sex. And he also allegedly told two of the three girls he had gotten to where he was by sleeping around, and asked one if she'd be willing to do the same.
Condon is recommending that Abreu be fired, along with school aide Arelis Candelario, who allegedly lied to investigators about approaching the three students with the job offers. Abreu denied saying anything inappropriate to the girls, and told investigators that one of the girls had been mad at him for giving advice to her boyfriend that she didn’t like.
