The NYPD is seeking a 26-year-old woman who investigators believe bashed another woman in the head with a tire iron in the Bronx last month.

The suspect, identified by the police as Gloribels Serrano, 26, approached her victim at 2:30 a.m. on May 12th, near the corner of East Bedford Park Boulevard and Marion Avenue on the North East side of the New York Botanical Garden.

Serrano allegedly struck the victim, a 35-year-old woman, in the head with a tire iron, before running away. The victim was treated at an area hospital and released. It's unclear what, if anything, precipitated the assault.

Serrano is described as Hispanic, 5'5", and about 137 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
