A Bronx mother of two was fatally shot outside her apartment yesterday. Police responded to a 911 at around 2:56 p.m. ad found Kenia Castillo-Reyes with a gunshot wound to the head. And it's believed her ex-boyfriend pulled the trigger.
Neighbors told the Daily News she was arguing with another man. One said, "The two were talking. Then they were tussling...She was screaming, ‘He’s going to kill me. He’s going to kill me,’" after the man broke free and pulled a gun. Then he fired multiple times, hitting Castillo-Reyes in the head.
Another neighbor said, "A bullet hit her on the right side of her head by her ear and she was trying to climb up the stairs but she couldn’t make it." According to the News, "Neighbors said the ex-boyfriend recently got out of jail and that Reyes had an order of protection against him."
