A police investigation of a "suspicious package" in Bushwick this afternoon caused a brief flurry of panic over Twitter, along with a partial suspension of service along L and M subway lines. Luckily, the area is now clear, so you can all go about your day, Internet.
Though the NYPD didn't have much information for us, they did confirm that this "suspicious package" sparked an investigation in the 83rd Precinct. And this investigation, reportedly located near the Myrtle/Wyckoff M station, seemed pretty full-scale to area residents:

Some witness have noted an unattended bag left near a KFC establishment in the area.
They closed down three blocks by myrtle and Wyckoff because there's a bag in front of the KFC.... I NEED TO GET INTO THE GYM!

The M and L trains were partially suspended, though the MTA says service has since been restored with residual delays.
Cops say the area is now clear. No panic necessary. Planet Fitness is still open.
FYI - Myrtle ave and Wyckoff ave. Suspicious Package. All clear by Bomb Squad. L and M train service and bus service resumed.
