Somehow, it's already Friday and the end April, which means we should all be looking forward to a weekend spent outdoors celebrating being one month closer to summer—but alas, May seems to be a bit confused, and will grace us with cold, rain, and clouds this Sunday. True to form, the MTA is bringing the room down even further with changes on 16 subways. Settle in for a long, detour-laden trip, and use the time to rehearse your complaints about the forthcoming L train shutdown for next Thursday's ~~public meeting~~ roast.

Here's what to expect this weekend:

1 trains are not running in either direction between 14 St and South Ferry, from 11:30 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday. Trains will skip 18 St, 23 St, and 28 St in both directions. Shuttle buses will run between Chambers St and South Ferry.

2 trains will run local in both directions between Chambers St and 34 St-Penn Station, from 11:30 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday.

3 trains will run to and from New Lots Av all weekend, replacing the 4 in Brooklyn, from 11:30 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday. Also during that time, 3 trains will run local in both directions between Chambers St and 34 St-Penn Station.

4 trains are not running in either direction between New Lots Av/Crown Hts-Utica Av and Bowling Green, from 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday. Shuttle buses will run between Crown Hts-Utica Av and New Lots Av. Also, from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday, downtown 4 trains will run local in both directions from Grand Central-42 St to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.

5 trains are not running in either direction between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St. Free shuttle buses will operate between the two stations. Also, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, 5 trains will run every 20 minutes. Downtown 5 trains will run local from Grand Central-42 St to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.

6 trains are not running in either direction between Pelham Bay Park and Parkchester, from 3:30 a.m. on Saturday to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Free shuttle buses will run in between the two stops.

7 trains will run express between Mets-Willets Point and Queensboro Plaza, from 6:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Inwood-207 St-bound A trains will run express from Canal St to 59 St-Columbus Circle from 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. on Sunday to 5 a.m. on Monday. Brooklyn-bound A trains will run local between 125 St and 59 St-Columbus Circle from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday.

Uptown C trains will run express from Canal St to 59 St-Columbus Circle, from 6:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Norwood-205 St-bound D trains will be rerouted on the N line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to 36 St, from 4:45 a.m. on Saturday to 10 p.m. on Sunday. From 12:01 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday, Brooklyn-bound D trains will run local from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle, and from DeKalb Av to 36 St.

E trains will run local in both directions in Queens, from 12:01 a.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday. Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer-bound E trains will skip Spring St and 23 St from 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday.

F trains will run local in both directions in Queens from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday. From 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, Coney Island-Stillwell Av-bound F trains will be rerouted on the M line from 47-50 Sts to Roosevelt Av., and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer-bound trains will skip 14 St and 23 St.

L trains are not running in either direction betwen Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs, from 11:30 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday. Shuttle buses will run between Rockaway Pkwy and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.

Downtown N trains will skip 49 St from 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday. From 12:01 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday, Coney Island-Stillwell Av-bound N trains will run local from DeKalb Av to 59 St.

Downtown Q trains will skip 49 St from 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. on Sunday to 5 a.m. on Monday.

Downtown R trains will skip 49 St from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
