Jay Ott, the 31-year-old Brooklyn fashion designer who went missing around March 23rd, was found dead yesterday. Ott's body was discovered floating in the New York Harbor near Pier 4 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
This evening the NYPD confirmed that Ott was found in the vicinity of 2nd Avenue and 58 Street, where EMS pronounced him DOA. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
Ott, who suffered from anxiety, was last seen (via surveillance footage) on the Williamsburg Bridge in the early hours of March 23rd. Family members and friends have been desperately hunting for him in hospitals and rehab centers in Brooklyn and Manhattan since his disappearance.
