The police say that a pair of bandits have been prowling downtown marinas to steal property from boats since May. According to the NYPD, the incidents have occurred in the 1st and 6th Precincts in lower Manhattan. Here are the details:
1) 1 Pct: Monday, May 27, 2013. The suspects entered a boat docked at Pier 25 and removed photographs that were on the wall of the ship.
2) 1 Pct: Sunday, June 9, 2013. The suspects entered a boat docked at 323 South End Avenue and removed various electronic equipment.
3) 1 Pct: Sunday, June 16, 2013. The suspects entered a boat docked at 1 North End Avenue and removed an Apple iPad, bank cards and a cell phone.
4 & 5) 6 Pct: Friday, June 21, 2013 and Friday, June 28, 2013. The suspects attempted to gain entry into the NY Kayak Company located at 353 West Street by breaking the front locks but were unsuccessful. No property was removed either time.
6) 6 Pct: 1 Pct: Thursday, July 4, 2013. The suspects entered a boat docked at 2N North Cove but were unable to remove any property.
