Newsday thinks that Mayor Bloomberg's rhetoric is "heating up". His advisors, after reviewing his popularity (not very) numbers, probably told him "More in your face talk, less in your face action!" But he claims it's tit-for-tat: "We don't mean to ratchet up the verbiage. If there's a reason to say something, we say it. And if people are more civil and more rational, then there isn't ... Some things have been particularly annoying ... I just match the rhetoric to what people are doing." Gothamist is still waiting for a response, Mr. Mayor.
