The NYPD is looking for a man they believe stole a wallet from a blind man in Midwood earlier this week.

According to police, the unidentified suspect, who was walking with a mountain bike, followed the 57-year-old victim to the corner of Bay Avenue and Ocean Avenue around 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday. There, he allegedly grabbed suspect's arm, snatching the suspect's wallet out of his back pants pocket before fleeing.

Cops say the victim had about $1000 in cash in his wallet, in addition to various credit cards. ABC 7 has identified the victim as Mark Kamenogorsky, a massage therapist who lost his eyesight three years ago. "He jumped from behind and grabbed my arm, pulled out my wallet and run away," Kamenogorsky told the station. The NYPD says the suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray shorts and black sneakers; he was walking with a mountain bike at the time of the robbery. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
