A 20-year-old college student was the victim of a bizarre mugging in Queens yesterday after an alleged mugger robbed her of her $50 Toms shoes... but left her with her iPod, watch and bag.

The Post reports that Kayla Miller, a student at Yeshiva University, was allegedly robbed at around 1 a.m. while on her way home in Fresh Meadows. Miller told the tabloid that the hooded mugger specifically asked for her shoes, jumping out from behind a bush at Union Turnpike and 190th Street. "He jumped out and said, ‘I’m not going to hurt you. I’m not going to stab you. Just give me your shoes,’ ” Miller said. "I was just like that’s the weirdest thing he could ask me for."

For those who are still able to recall the pre-Lena Dunham Sex & The City era, this scenario may seem familiar—Carrie Bradshaw famously had her Manolo Blahniks stolen by a mugger in Greenwich Village. Though cops say this theft may be less fashion-conscious and more creepy in nature, telling Miller that her mugger may have had a fetish. “That’s messed up, but whatever," Miller told the Post.

Miller fared better than Bradshaw, since the alleged thief failed to take her Michael Kors handbag, iPod and watch.
