Towns, who has served as Congressman for 25 years, is up for re-election, and was a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. His challenger Kevin Powell hopes to seize on the fact that the district actually has more Barack Obama supporters to win the primary. Also at Towns's fund-raiser: Governor David Paterson, City Comptroller William Thompson, and the Reverend Calvin Butts.
