In bad but not shocking news, the American Lung Association has basically failed NYC for having very polluted air. In fact, all the boroughs got F's except for Brooklyn which got a D. Let's see: Manhattan gets the F because it's overpopulated (Central Park may have hundreds of acres, but it can't reverse the effects of whatever is coming out of skyscrapers); Staten Island has dumps; Queens has two airports; the Bronx has lots of highway traffic and doesn't seem to get a break, period. Could the sea air from Brooklyn's coast be helping out?
