Earlier this week a crocodile popped up in New York City—adding one more "sewer gator" to this year's tally. According BushwickBK, residents of Jefferson Street spotted a dozen or so police officers checking out some debris after last month's tornado, and saw one cop pull a baby crocodile out from it! One local said, “It was just a baby—a couple feet long, maybe. They were trying to get it into a cat-carrier.” WABC reported that the creature was 28 inches in length, and is now at an animal control shelter. It will later be set free in a special habitat area—perhaps Mount Airy Lodge?
