A 38-year-old Astoria man miraculously survived an apparently suicidal leap into the subway tracks at the Times Square R station last night. One witness tells the Daily News the man "began then to shout out his wife's telephone number. He said, 'Call my wife, call my wife, I'm going to die,'" as he stood on the tracks facing an oncoming Queensbound R train. He is currently in serious condition after being hit by the train and is being treated at Bellevue Hospital. Last month, a Brooklyn man survived jumping in front of a G train after stabbing his parents.
