Ashley Dupre, who recently called (some? most?) New York City women hypocrites for looking down on her prostituting past, has now been in the NY Post two days in a row. Yesterday, the Post looked at her road to realization—with a sexy fashion shoot, of course (photo slideshow below, which is set to her second single!)—with the former high-class escort offering this pitch line, "Everyone likes an underdog story, and everyone likes a comeback. I'm the poster child for redemption."
She says of any fame that's come her way, "I didn't ask for it, but now that I have it, it's up to me to take advantage of this platform and do something amazing. I have a voice now," and says would like to settle down ("I really like preppy boys. Tall, dark hair, handsome") but "Dating in New York is just so tough. A lot of guys want to be with me for the wrong reasons. They wonder, 'How is she going to be in bed?'" Well, yeah. And don't worry, Dupre knows her past will have to be discussed her with family, "When I do have children, I'll have to sit them down and explain myself. And when they have children, I'll have to tell them that 'Grandma did this to [herself],' and that's something I'll have to live with the rest of my life. It's part of my life now."
In today's Post, she says she's considering posing nude—"If it's good enough for Madonna, it's good enough for me"—and she's writing a "cautionary tale" for young girls who might fall into a similar trap she did, "I'm going to let them in, in a way where I'm really excited and really horrified. Once I get everything out, I'll feel like everything's been clarified and I can breathe."
