The week starts off with another sunny and warm day. The city is in a meteorological DMZ between a low pressure system that's bringing lots of showers to the Southeast and Gulf Coast and a weak low near Hudson Bay. The latter system is headed this way but before it gets here there should be plenty of sun and a seasonable high in the low 80s most places but cooler along the shore.

Tomorrow should see a mix of sun and clouds in the morning followed by a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Tomorrow's high is expected to be around 80. Unlike last month, this rain should be a one-off event. There might be a few lingering clouds and showers Wednesday morning but high pressure should bring the sun back by that afternoon.

As the high settles in we're looking at more sun on Thursday and Friday. This nice weather almost makes up for the Weather Channel switching their Local On the 8s playlist from smooth jazz to an eclectic soft rock format that's bound to please pleated Sansabelt wearers everywhere. Come on, no Lightning Bolt? Anyway, Thursday and Friday should be sunny with highs from the upper 70s to low 80s.
