Nothing like a cold, gray rainy day to warm the heart. Once the low pressure system that is giving us this fine weather moves out to sea it is going rapidly intensify, or bomb out. During a high wind advisory Gothamist recommends putting large heavy objects such as rocks or bricks in your coat pockets to keep from blowing away. One of our personal anchors is a rock hand-painted by Tyree Guyton, visionary artist behind Detroit's Heidelberg Project.
The wind dies down tomorrow night and the weekend looks fine. Sunday may be a bit warmer than predicted earlier in the week, with a max temperature around 60. Perfect weather for watching the marathon, but perhaps a bit warm for the runners?
