Boy howdy that was some thunder and lightning show night, eh? One minute we're innocently catching up on old Miami Vice episodes, the next we're cowering under the bed in fear as the loudest, most sustained roll of thunder ever rocked NYC. The biggest heart-stopping thunderclap we heard occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m., leaving in its wake bleating car alarms, soiled sheets, and mind-blowing tweets.

How did you manage during Epic Thunderdome 2013? Let us know what you did to provoke the gods' wrath in the comments... and if you snapped any photos of the caliber of the one seen here, feel free to send them our way to photos@gothamist.com. But we're going to keep the bar high on this one—unless it's a photo of the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man lumbering through midtown as bolts of lightning roast his love handles, we're probably not going to use it.
