A Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney was arrested early this morning after he allegedly attacked an EMT worker who was trying to bring him to the hospital. According to the Post, Michael Jaccarino, 30, was walking across the Brooklyn Bridge around 1 a.m. when he was spotted by the EMS. He was visibly intoxicated, so they wanted to take him to Beth Israel Hospital; but once he was in the ambulance, Jaccarino allegedly took off his seatbelt, then slapped and choked a 46-year-old female EMT.

Police arrived soon after and arrested Jaccarino. That female EMT suffered bruising to her chest, face and wrist, according to their sources. She had to be taken to Beth Israel herself. Jaccarino was charged with second-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and menacing as well as harassment.

This is the latest incident involving a city ADA: former Bronx ADA Jennifer Troiano pleaded guilty earlier this year to drunk driving on the Major Deegan Expressway. Fellow Bronx ADA Rafael Urena was charged with a DWI. And Brooklyn ADA Justin Marrus got in hot water after photos of him brandishing a Confederate flag, simulating prison rape and wearing blackface were found online.
