Hours after the suspicious packages-on-UPS planes and trucks concerns, 1010 WINS says U.S. military jets are escorting an Emirates passenger flight, originating from Yemen, to JFK "out of an abundance of caution." Update: We hear the plane has landed and is being escorted by the Port Authority and NYPD to either a gate or another part of the airport.

Update 4:15 p.m.: The plane landed away from the gates, so the passengers left the plane via the airstairs and were transported to the airport by bus. MyFoxNY adds, "The flight originated in Yemen and stopped in the United Arab Emirates, Fox News reported. Two Canadian CF-18s escorted it until the U.S. F-15s picked up the escort. A source told Fox 5 News that Federal Express has two flights coming into JFK Airport from Yemen and that authorities will search those planes as a precaution. It is not clear if this is related to that investigation."
