If you've been feeling pretty good about humanity for some inexplicable reason today, here's some news to bring you right back down to our polluted, toxic earth. A young boy was found abandoned this morning in a blue stroller on a street corner in the South Bronx. Officials estimate that he's approximately two years old, but it's hard to say for sure, because the child is too young to talk, and certainly too young to be hanging out on a street corner all alone.

According to the NYPD, the unidentified boy was found at approximately 5:30 a.m. today on the southeast corner of East 141 Street and Rider Avenue. Police describe him as an Hispanic male who is "26 inches long and weighs 26 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair, which is trimmed in a Mohawk style."

Investigators say the child was "found in a blue stroller which was earlier being pushed by a light complexioned female Hispanic with black hair. This female was dressed in all black and had her hair up in a bun." After being discovered all alone in his stroller, the boy was transported to Lincoln Hospital for observation and is now in the custody of Administration for Children Services.
