Police are searching for a man who allegedly slashed a fellow rider on a Queens train early Sunday.

According to the NYPD, the suspect approached the 21-year-old victim at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, and slashed him with an unknown sharp object, before fleeing the train. The incident occurred aboard a northbound A train at the Beach 60th Street station in Far Rockaway.

It's unclear if anything preceded or provoked the attack. The suspect is described as a 140 pounds, 5' 8" male between 26 and 28-years-old. He was last seen wearing a red, white and blue jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.

A source tells the NY Post the victim was slashed "from his ear to his jaw." He suffered a laceration to the face and was rushed to a nearby hospital in stable condition, police said.
