With the G train back in business and the Rockaways getting a temporary shuttle train the last major bit of the subway system that still needs to come back online after Hurricane Sandy is the L train's service between Brooklyn and Manhattan. How's progress on that coming? The MTA just released a video!

As you can see, things are far dryer down there than they were just two days ago. Right now what workers are doing (as you can see in the video) is checking to make sure that each and every bit of track and signal made it through the storm intact. Once all that has been done, the subways can run again (which should be soon!).

Sadly the latest video from the MTA isn't quite as exciting as some of the post-storm footage they've released but we'll take it. Come back to us, silver bullet!
