Yesterday we learned that someone out there is willing to use September 11th as an excuse for a mattress sale. But after outraging what seemed like the entire country with their television ad, San Antonio's Miracle Mattress has announced they'll be closing the store "indefinitely."

Last night, Miracle Mattress owner Mike Bonanno posted the company's second open letter on Facebook in a week, this time explaining that they're taking the weekend off to not provide any more distraction. Bonanno also wrote that Miracle Mattress takes "full responsibility for our actions and sincerely regret the hurt and pain caused by this disrespectful advertising campaign."

Bonanno promised that next week Miracle Mattress would discuss the "accountability actions" the company has taken in response to the video, and their plans to support the 9/11 Museum and Memorial as well as victims' funds. He also used the letter to blast fake accounts created to pick fights on the company's Facebook page.
