A nine-year-old girl was shot by a gunman on a bicycle in the Bronx last night. Police say the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at Bailey Avenue and West 234th Street in Kingsbridge. The girl was walking across the street towards her building when she was shot; police do not believe she was the intended target.
The girl was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, where she is listed as stable condition. The suspect is believed to be between 15-20; no arrests have been made yet.
