An 82-year-old woman was struck and killed by a dump truck driver yesterday afternoon in Bushwick.

According to an NYPD release, the dump truck driver was stopped at a red light at Broadway and Gates Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. When the light turned green, police say, the driver continued east on Broadway and hit Ora Walker, who was attempting to cross Broadway.

Walker, who lived two blocks from the intersection, was pronounced dead at the scene. The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is continuing to investigate.

This morning, an MTA bus driver struck a pedestrian in Flushing, at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Prince Street.
