A 75-year-old man was struck and killed by a hit and run driver near Columbia University last night. The incident happened just before midnight at the intersection of Broadway and W 114th Street. The victim was crossing 114th Street from east to west when he was struck by a black Honda Civic traveling northbound on Broadway.
The suspect fled the scene, and the victim was found lying on the ground with body trauma. He was pronounced dead at Saint Luke’s Hospital. No arrests have been made yet, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
