Last night, the 7 line suffered some signal problems that suspended service between 74th St, Queens and 42nd St-Times Square in Manhattan. The MTA has made some fixes, but there are still some problems, so be patient.
Up until recently, there were no express trains to Times Square and some Main Street-bound 7 trains were terminating at 74 Street. Now the MTA says, via Twitter, "#ServAdv: b/d, #7 trains are running with delays due to ongoing signal problems at 52 St. Allow additional travel time." (The MTA has had crews working at 33rd Street since last night.)
WABC 7 reports, "LIRR is cross-honoring fares at 34 St-Penn Station, 61 St-Woodside and Flushing-Main Street. MTA has also requested shuttle buses to 74th Street since the platforms have been packed."
7 train is jam packed with chaos again this morn. Thanx @MTA ! @NYCTSubwayScoop

Remember, the MTA can offer you (and your boss) verification that train service was messed up—they've had have this service for years—but it takes a while for the MTA to get those notices to you.
