Six people, including three young children, were injured in a hit-and-run crash in Queens last night. The victims were traveling in a church van when a driver hit them, forcing the van to overturn.
The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. last night on Shore Avenue and Princeton Street in Jamaica. Police say the van was traveling east on Shore Avenue when the driver of a 2016 Ford sedan ran a red light on Princeton Street and struck the van, forcing it to flip over and land on its roof.
The driver allegedly fled on foot; another man reportedly told police the car was a rental had been stolen from him.
The victims—a 22 year-old man, a 20-year-old woman, a 23-year-old woman, a 15-year-old girl, and two 3-year-old boys—were taken to Jamaica Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
