A 25-year-old cyclist was fatally struck first by one, then another taxi in East Harlem on Thursday night, police said.

The victim, a woman whom police have not yet identified, was riding her bicycle southbound on Park Avenue around 9:20 p.m. when she was hit by a livery cab traveling westbound on East 125th Street. She was then ejected from her bicycle into the path of a second livery cab, this one traveling eastbound on East 125th Street.

The victim was transported to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Both drivers remained on the scene. According to a police spokesperson, the incident "appears to have been an accident," and no summonses for either driver have been issued, nor have any arrests have been made.

“I didn’t see her until it was too late,” one driver, Kaml Hossain, told the Daily News. “She had headphones on. She didn’t know where she was.”

Police added that it is unclear whether the victim was wearing a helmet at the time.
