About 78 beloved celebrities will die between now and Sunday, and in preparation the MTA has gifted us with its last slew of weekend subway changes in 2016. Note that a chunk of these changes will affect lines around Times Square on New Year's Eve, presumably in order to protect idiot tourists who think standing outside in the cold all night is fun. Stay home Saturday night and get drunk alone like a Real New Yorker.

Here's what's on tap this weekend:

ON NEW YEAR'S EVE:

Van Cortlandt Park-242 St bound 1 trains will skip 50 St from noon Saturday to 12:10 a.m. Sunday.
NQR trains will skip 49 St in both directions, starting at noon Saturday and ending at 12:01 a.m. Sunday.
The exits at the 1237NQRS Times Sq-42 St stop might intermittently close to prevent overcrowding, with that change in effect from 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday.

OTHER WEEKEND SERVICE CHANGES

Norwood-205 St bound D trains will not stop at 170 St, 174-175 Sts or 182-183 Sts from 10:45 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Broad St-bound J trains will run express from Myrtle Av to Marcy Av from 3:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

All M trains will run every 20 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Manhattan-bound trains will run express from Myrtle Av to Marcy Av during that time.
