As city officials and community leaders clash about summer violence—which includes a 3-year-old being caught in the crossfire—here's the depressing news from yesterday: Police tell the Post that at least two people were killed and six were wounded in shootings:

Kenneth Archbolb, 19, was shot dead in Harlem at about 2 a.m. Police said he was a drug dealer being chased by 10 foes. About an hour later, three partygoers were shot in The Bronx. At 5 a.m., another drug dealer, 21, was fatally shot in front of the Soundview Houses. A man was wounded in Queens at about 4:30 p.m. A 22-year-old man was shot near Bronx Lebanon Hospital at about 8 p.m. And a man was shot at around 11 p.m. in The Bronx.

The Reverend Al Sharpton suggested that Police Commissioner Ray Kelly sit down with community leaders about the issue; Kelly says he's up for it.
