Seventeen students from the Bronx High School For Law & Community Service were sent to St. Barnabus Hospital and treated for minor injuries after an unknown assailant entered the building and discharged a substance that authorities believe is pepper spray. The school was evacuated shortly after the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. A DCPI representative tells us that no one is in custody and they haven't yet identified the assailant.

In 2009, 12 students went to the hospital after a similar incident occurred at another Bronx High School, and pepper spray is a popular remedy when quelling unruly kids (and even ones who aren't so unruly). For a full dosage of outrage, check out ABC7's coverage here.
