After finally getting a win on Sunday against the Red Sox, the Yankees lost to the Red Sox again, 5-4, on Patriot's Day. The ugly 4 game series (11 combined errors) was won by the Red Sox 3-1. The ugly play will likely disappear by the end of the season, but we're almost certain that Yankee fans want it to vanish before this weekend's series against the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium.

The series was especially poor for new-Yankee Alex Rodriguez. During the four games, A-Rod went 1-17 and is still looking for that big hit. A-Rod's first hit in the series came in the 9th inning with two outs, but Jason Giambi promptly struck out to end the game. He didn't help things yesterday with his defense either. In the 7th inning, an errant throw (by errant, we mean into the outfield) by Rodriguez allowed the tying run to score. Rodriguez's performance brought joy to fans in Boston, which leads Gothamist to wonder if the boo-birds will be at Yankee Stadium this weekend if A-Rod doesn't pick it up.
