Monday, on a court far away from Arthur Ashe, a 13 year old ball boy fainted after chasing a ball during a match between Jiri Novak and Radek Ztepanek. The two players rushed to assist the boy and helped him while waiting for medical assistance, which took more than 15 minutes to arrive.

It seems as though the incident was related to dehydration. Novak offered some insight into what happened, saying, "I took water and a towel, but for 20 to 30 seconds he was out. He woke up and was asking us: 'What's my name? Where am I?' I was really scared. I didn't know what to do."

15 minutes is a long time to wait for anything, let alone medical assistance. Maybe they got lost in the sprawling complex that is the National Tennis Center. Gothamist knows that we've been lost there before.

Novak won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1, 6-3.
