2006_04_syankeeslogo.jpgStaked to a four-run lead, Randy Johnson couldn’t even make it out of the fourth inning as he imploded in grand fashion and the Yankees lost to Toronto last night 10-5. Perhaps it is merely a coincidence, but Johnson left his last start because of tightness and this performance will only increase the questions about his health.

Unfortunately for the Yankees, Johnson isn’t their only pitcher with health concerns. Aaron Small and Carl Pavano have yet to make it off the DL and Tanyon Sturtze may be headed there. In addition, Jaret Wright and Kyle Farnsworth have been ineffective, leaving Joe Torre with very few options out of the bullpen.

The Yankees take on Toronto in the final game of their two-game series today. They finally head home tonight and open a nine-game homestand Friday against the Orioles.
