  1. Rangers 3 Devils 2 (Shootout): New York and New Jersey put on a great show Tuesday night, playing an intense game that finished with an eight-round shootout.

The Devils jumped out to an early lead off of a John Madden goal, but New York took a 2-1 lead in the third after Petr Prucha scored his ninth goal of the year. Thomas Pock was called for tripping with just under five minutes left and the Devils converted to tie the game.

After a scoreless overtime, the teams engaged in a great shootout with Patrick Elias preventing a New York win with a beautiful goal and then Marcel Hossa showing some of his brother’s moves as he netted the game-winner.

The game also marked the return of Jed Ortmeyer who missed the start of the season with a pulmonary embolism.

  2. Flyers 3 Islanders 2: New York made it close with two late goals, but Robert Esche was too tough and held on for the win.
  3. Kings 112 Knicks 100: Sacramento never trailed as the Knicks lost their 6th straight road game. Ron Artest scored a career-high 39 points in the win.
