After a quick start in the Northeast Division, the Rangers finally lost a game in regulation to a division rival. They couldn't take advantage of a five-on-three power play in the third and came up one goal short, 3-2, against the Bruins. Brandon Dubinsky and Marian Gaborik had the goals for the Rangers, who had a three-game losing streak snapped despite outshooting Boston 36-20. The Rangers visit Colorado on Friday.

New coach, same results for the Islanders. Jack Capuano saw his team fall 4-2 to Tampa Bay and lose for the 11th straight time -- and first under his watch. Matt Moulsonand John Tavares, the only two reasons to watch the team, scored for the Islanders, who haven't won since Oct. 21. Ouch.
