Both the Mets and the Yankees were resting Monday night after a busy day for both teams. Their New York-Penn League teams did play though.
- Yankees 11, Renegades 7: The Baby Bombers defeated Hudson Valley in a shootout as the teams combined for 27 hits in the game. Fun note - there are some Staten Island Little League players in Japan as part of Hideki Matsui's "International Friendship Program". They've even got a sparse blog going - how cute.
- Cyclones 6, Ironbirds 3: The Cyclones kept pace with the division-leading Yankees with the win over Aberdeen. The Cyclones have won an impressive 8-straight games.
- Looks like bad news for Floyd Landis, his fans, and fans of cycling. The NY Times is reporting that Landis' A Sample, which had a high ratio of testosterone, contained an external source of the male sex hormone. The report, cites a person at the International Cycling Union, contradicts the statements Landis made last week claiming that his high testosterone levels were natural.
