2006_04_syankeeslogo.jpg - Yankees 14, White Sox 3: It's always encouraging when you can beat one of the best teams in baseball. Even better when you beat them comfortably. At the end of the day though, a win is a win and the Yankees remain 1.5 games behind the Red Sox for the AL East lead and only 4 games behind the White Sox for the Wild Card. Who says the Wild Card has to come out of the AL Central? In drubbing the White Sox, every yankee starter reached base

- Cubs 9, Mets 2: The Mets didn't fair as well as the Yankees against Chicago's Senior Circuit team as Tom Glavine lost his first game since April 24th, a period spanning 15 starts. Glavine left the game in the 6th with the lead, which the bullpen promptly gave up and gave insurance runs for. The Mets are still ahead of their closest division rival by 12 games. Don't look now, but the Braves are one of the teams 12 games back.

- SI Yankees 17, Spikes 6: The Baby Bombers live up to their names as they defeated State College. Instead of bombs out of the park, they just racked up 23 hits. The Yankees have won 9 (!!) straight games to move to 1.5 games behind the division lead.

- Cyclones 6, Lake Monsters 4: Cyclones win! The Cyclones win! The Cyclones are on a roll, with the victory against the Lake Monsters as their 5th straight. The winning streak has moved them within 2 games of .500.
