Indiana did just that and ran away from the Knicks in the fourth quarter. Steve Francis fouled out again, but at least he contributed, scoring 25 points in 34 minutes before being disqualified. The Knicks are 1-2, and in their win, they blew a 19-point fourth-quarter lead before winning in triple overtime.
-Thrashers 4, Islanders 1: Rick DiPietro had what coach Ted Nolan called "not one of his better games." A sloppy clearance led to one of Atlanta's four goals, and he only made 15 saves. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak.
-Devils 2, Canadiens 1: Martin Brodeur had a better night, making 33 stops in New Jersey's win on the road. The Devils have won three of four. Jay Pandolfo and Brian Rifalksi each scored.
