  • Tampa Bay 10 Yankees 8: It’s not hard to fathom why New York keeps losing, they just aren’t pitching well at all. Already leading the league in relief innings, the Yankees saw starter Kei Igawa fail to get out of the fifth while the bullpen had another shaky night.

On the positive side, Alex Rodriguez has erased any doubts about his ability to perform in New York. Rodriguez belted his 13th and 14th homers of the year and he has 34 RBI’s in April with seven days left. If you boo this guy at all this year, you are not a fan.

There may be hope on the way as the Yankees announced that “Franchise Phil” Hughes will be called up from AAA to make his debut Thursday. Hughes is considered the best pitching prospect in baseball right now and the Yankees could really use that.

  • Mets 6 Rockies 1: Carlos Delgado finally got one to leave the park and Jose Reyes stole two to help John Maine to his third win of the year.
