Alex Rodriguez has now been stuck on 599 home runs for four games, but the Yankees have won three of those. On Monday, they downed the Indians, 3-2, after Curtis Granderson hit a two-run, go-ahead homer off former Yankee Jake Westbrook in the eighth inning. Alex Rodriguez finished 0-for-4 with a stirkeout. Nick Swisher's solo homer accounted for the Yankees' other run.
Javier Vazquez, written off early, by so many people, worked into the eighth and struck out five. He's now 9-7, and his ERA is down to 4.54. David Robertson (not Joba Chamberlain) came in the game in the eighth inning and induced a ground-ball double play. CC Sabathia starts for the Yankees against his former team tomorrow.
