  • New Orleans 92 New York 90: Simply put, this is the type of game you have to win if you want to make the playoffs. The Knicks built an 18-point lead, blew it and then had three chances at the tying basket in the last seconds of the game. They didn’t connect and they fell out of a tie for a playoff spot.

With six of their next seven games against likely playoff teams, the Knicks will have to make a stand if they do not want to see their season slip away. Jim Dolan already rewarded the coach, the question is, will the players live up to his faith?

  • Atlanta 2 New York 1 (OT): The Rangers left it all on the ice, shooting 39 times but only scoring once in their loss. Sean Avery was the long goal-scorer for New York while Henrik Lundqvist stopped 20 shots.

On the plus side, Toronto and Montreal both lost to keep the playoff race tighter than ever.
