2005_12_sgmenskins.jpgThis will be a stern test for the Giants. They have yet to beat a winning team on the road in the Eli Manning era and Saturday they will face a Redskins squad with its’ season on the line and 90,000 hostile fans supporting it. Washington will also be trying to erase the memory of the 36-0 humiliation they suffered at the hands of the Giants in October.

To make matters worse, the Giants injury situation has not improved from last week. Antonio Pierce is still out while Carlos Emmons is listed as doubtful and has yet to practice this week. Two other linebackers, Reggie Torbor, who played well last week and Roman Phifer, who was signed two days ago, are now listed as questionable. On offense, the starting tackles are both questionable as well as Jim Finn, the fullback.

All of these injuries and the desperation the Redskins will surely exhibit makes Gothamist think the Giants are quite up to this task. They won’t cave in like Dallas did, but Washington will beat them 24-14.
